Caesar Creek State Park in Waynesville offers some of the finest outdoor activities in Southwest Ohio including boating, hiking, fishing and camping.
We are very fortunate because Warren County is home to nationally renowned attractions and vacation spots. Ohioans come from all over the state to visit Warren County due to its vast array of tourism opportunities including: Kings Island Amusement Park, The Beach Waterpark, the Warren County Historical Society, the I & O Scenic Railway, The Golden Lamb, and the Western and Southern Financial Group Tennis Masters Tournament. I encourage Warren County residents to take advantage of the area’s tremendous vacation and tourism spots right in their own backyard!
In addition to the attractions in our community, cities and towns throughout our state, including our state capital, are home to inexpensive attractions for the whole family. Have a passion for learning about state history? Last year, Ohio added one more museum to her rich abundance of state historical attractions. The Ohio Statehouse Museum combines state-of-the art technology and nearly 5,000 square feet of interactive exhibits to immerse visitors in the legislative process.
The Statehouse Museum offers a new and creative way of learning about the legislative, executive and judicial branches of government. Visitors can take a chance at formulating their own budget and then see how it compares to ones of the past. For those who have ever wondered what it felt like to be a legislator or the governor, visitors can also vote on a bill or deliver a state of the state address. The free museum is open Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on weekends from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information please visit www.ohiostatehouse.org.
